“Michael Bonine is a consummate Lean Six Sigma professional. He has the experience and skills to lead a total quality transformation program working effectively at all levels of the organization. Functional leaders show him immediate respect for what he knows and the questions he asks about their systems and problems. His deep knowledge about the technical and conceptual foundations of Lean and Six Sigma allow him to teach and apply these programs to a wide variety of industries and service organizations. Mike would be the first one to call if I needed a quality expert who knows how to lead a total systems change effort.”

Lou English, Lean Consultant Trainer, English & Associates Inc.

“I met Mike Bonine when I trained to become a CPI (Continuous Process Improvement) Black Belt/Project Leader almost three years ago. This new assignment required that I learn both Lean and Six Sigma tools and the DMAIC problem solving methodology in order to achieve positive results with my upcoming CPI projects. Mike was one of two instructors and I immediately leaned towards him as my mentor because of his keen grasp of the subject matter and his obvious ability to relate the concepts and tools required for our development as aspiring CPI BBs in an easily attainable manner. Besides training me in the job that I am still doing today, Mike subsequently coached me as I migrated through my first two projects. After going through four months of training and several more months with my initial projects, Mike continued to help me to become more confident so that I felt that I was quickly and thoroughly progressing towards the capability to tackle any CPI challenge, ranging from short term Quick Wins, Kaizens, or Rapid Improvement Events to the most complex longer term DMAIC projects. His common sense approach to all aspects of striving for process improvement in a fairly typical organization that does not handle change very well helped me to balance the use of tools required to measure, analyze, and then improve a process with the effort to manage the people on my team in a way that would keep them interested and contributing. This was actually the first time in my 33+ year career with the United States Navy that I received such a clearly high level of both instruction and support for achieving my goals. Mike has continued to be a source for both information and mentoring in both the LSS and team building skills that I require in order to ensure project success. I will continue to rely on Mike and, if asked, I would freely recommend him as a teacher, coach, and/or project leader for any organization – no matter what the size, product, or service - since I believe he has the skills, knowledge, and abilities to easily adapt to both the type of requirement and personalities that he surely will encounter in his future undertakings as a Master Black Belt. Mike, I trust, will move comfortably from one kind of project to another as his career progresses and as he continues, even when faced with time constraints, to assist others like myself to reach for the highest achievements while navigating through some of the toughest challenges that any private company or government agency may present. It is rare that one meets a man of Mike’s caliber and it has been a priviledge knowing him like I have for the last three years both as a business associate and personal friend. I hope many others capture the same opportunity.” February 6, 2009

“Mike has a rare combination of talent and tenacity that benefits any client lucky enough to work with him. Time after time I have seen him faced with an impossible situation only to turn things around with a mastery of both the technical business management tools and unparalleled people skills. Marry this with selfless dedication, and you begin to get a picture of my friend, Mike. Mike's understanding of the Lean and Six Sigma methodologies is world class. It is always a pleasure to watch him coach/mentor shop-floor employees, middle management, and executive leaders with the same degree of success. This is a skill that very few have, and an essential component of the "it" factor that has served Mike and his clients so well over the years. He is just as comfortable helping a press supervisor run a kaizen event as he is leading an executive steering committee through a multi-million dollar CPI deployment. It is with great pleasure and without hesitation that I recommend Mike Bonine to anyone who considers him for employment.”
